Different Types of LED Lightbar
There are three types of lightbar, divided up by where they go on the car. The first type of lightbar, known as a dash light, fits on top of your dash above the steering wheel and glove compartment. It can be wide or narrow, tall or short depending on your personal preferences. Dash lightbars are commonly used by undercover police officers, first responders and others who don't want to advertise their status to the rest of the world.
The second type of LED lightbar, known as a roof light, is what you think of when you think "police car." Roof lights are typically as wide as the car itself, and attach to its roof for maximum visibility.
