About Our LED Lightbar

Police LightsHave you ever wondered what the flashing lights on a police car, ambulance or fire engine really are? If you're a volunteer first responder, you may wish you had some flashing lights of your own, especially if there's a life-or-death situation and you need cars to get out of your way. A LED Lightbar is a vital part of any first response effort, as it lets others know that you're doing important business, and that they need to move aside! Whether you're an individual who volunteers for the police or fire department or whether you're a cash-strapped city or municipality that needs to get a good deal on a LED lightbar set, Extreme Tactical Dynamics is your business of choice.

Extreme Tactical Dynamics cuts out the middlemen seeking to sell you LED lightbars at an extremely marked-up price. We act as a direct link between manufacturers and people in need.

There are a variety of types of LED lightbar available for sale, depending on what sort of lightbar you're looking for. The most common types include dash lighting, roof lighting and surface mount lighting to go on the front of the car. All of our LED lightbar options include a choice of colors. These include:

* Red
* Blue
* White
* Amber
* Green
* And a variety of mixtures between the five colors!

Police LightsWhy LED Lightbars?

Before LEDs were used in emergency vehicle operations, halogen and xenon strobe lights were used to get people out of the way. However, these lights rely on sensitive filaments that burned out after just months of use. LEDs, by contrast, provide the brightest, clearest, and most energy-efficient light of any light source in the world. Because a LED Lightbar is likely to see a lot of use in the field, even though it's slightly more expensive than a Halogen lightbar, the money you save on replacements will likely pay for the lightbar up to five times over.

Different Types of LED Lightbar

There are three types of lightbar, divided up by where they go on the car. The first type of lightbar, known as a dash light, fits on top of your dash above the steering wheel and glove compartment. It can be wide or narrow, tall or short depending on your personal preferences. Dash lightbars are commonly used by undercover police officers, first responders and others who don't want to advertise their status to the rest of the world.

The second type of LED lightbar, known as a roof light, is what you think of when you think "police car." Roof lights are typically as wide as the car itself, and attach to its roof for maximum visibility. Consider purchasing a set of rooftop LED lightbars from Extreme Tactical Dynamics for your municipal police force if you want to get the most bang for your buck.

The third and final type of lightbar, known as surface mount lighting, sticks to any surface of your vehicle. Typically placed on the front of a vehicle, it's a good way to improve visibility during an emergency without sacrificing being undercover. Surface mount LED lightbars look like standard front lights, but when a switch is flicked, the siren starts to go.
