Benefits and Uses Of Led Light Bars

LED Light BarsEveryone is aware of the need for light bars. When there is an emergency it is important for vehicles responding to that emergency to warn drivers of their approach. This is necessary so that drivers on the road can get out of the vehicles way and helps the emergency vehicle respond to the situation quicker. This can mean all the difference between adequately handling the emergency situation and disaster. However, few people realize the differences between the various light bars. Today, we are going to delve into the benefits of LED light bars and the vehicles that utilize them on a daily basis.

LED light bars have a few benefits over strobe or rotating light bars. The biggest advantage that LED light bars has is they are extremely durable and have long lifespans. Traditional light bars often have lights with filaments in them. These filaments can burn out or shake loose over time. LED light bars don't have these problems. Traditional light bars have a lifespan of approximately 15,000 hours. LED Light bars have a lifespan of approximately 35,000 hours. This essentially means that a LED light bar has a useful lifespan that is three times greater than traditional lights.

LED Light BarsAnother benefit of these light bars is they require very little current to operate. That means they can be mounted on parked vehicles without having to worry about them draining the batteries too quickly. Combine this energy efficiency with the intense brightness of the lights, often many times brighter than rotating lights, and you can see why they are used on so many emergency vehicles.

Now that you understand the benefits of LED light bars, let's talk about how they are used in the United States. Below are the colors that are used for specific types of motor vehicles. Vehicle lights differ from one country to the next, so keep in mind that the following are only for vehicles in the U.S.

As you can clearly see, LED light bars have a number of advantages, and can be used for a wide assortment of different vehicles. They are the perfect lights for any vehicle that needs to draw attention to itself, and do so in a more energy efficient manner.
