Be Thankful on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Posted by Extreme Tactical Dynamics on Jun 29th 2019

The National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was first celebrated in 2015. This special occasion was created by the FBI National Academy to appreciate and thank all officers who risk their lives every single day to protect the communities they serve. The day of appreciation is celebrated each year on January 9th. This year, departments and districts are urging even more people to participate.

Recent Negativity Surrounding Police Means Officers Need Your Support

Organizers are hoping that more people than ever will help celebrate the day by thanking officers in their community. Every day nearly 800,000 officers put on a badge and go to work. Recently, there has been negativity surrounding law enforcement around the country. To help remind officers why they do what they do every day, it’s important to show that despite the negativity, there are people who are grateful for them. One of the most effective ways to let police know you support them is to kind and thankful.

Unique and Kind Ways to Show Police You Appreciate Them

You don’t need a ton of time to plan a kind thank you for the police in your community. After all, these brave men and women go to work every morning expecting nothing. So, anytime someone is kind or thankful for their services, it means the world to them. However, there are a few ways to show law enforcement your appreciation.

Many of the acts of kindness mentioned above only take a few seconds to complete. But, for the men and women in blue, it will be truly appreciated. Lastly, if you see an officer out and about in your community on the 9th – take the time to tell them you appreciate them.

At Extreme Tactical Dynamics, we appreciate all law enforcement officers and department personnel. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all police on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and every day.
